- We were able to add over $850 to our monthly income for July mainly by doing extra stuff: Selling on eBay, mystery shopping, online product evals, etc. Take a look at our detailed tracking spreadsheet as we continue to work to grow these opportunities and add reviews of all streams to the site.
July 2008 Summary:
We were fortunate enough to be able to increase our net worth by 2.74% or about $687 this month. Our income took a pretty sharp dive towards the end of the July due to Ry’s job/income switch. The slowed progress is a calculated sacrifice that we hope will pay off, on all levels, including financially in the future.
Goals:
Bucket #1: $10k Emergency Fund - Complete. Still full / interest growing, no impact.
Bucket #2: Bucket #2: High Interest Student Loans – Still at $27,325.88 . Loan payments do not begin until October and since a large percentage of our income is in transition we felt it was better to hold off on extra or early payments. No change this month.
Bucket #3: Bucket #3: House down payment – $0 of $40,000 saved. Since this is currently the third and lowest stacked bucket, it may be a little while before we achieve spillover.
