I’ve been (somewhat) faithfully acting out the 200 sit up challenge. It took me just over three weeks to complete the first two weeks, but I wasn’t able to do it every other day. I have definitely noticed progress with my endurance, but don’t really see much difference in muscle tone yet.
You may have noticed the progress bar being being crossed off on the side of the blog each time I finished a day – I am now going to update that to reflect progress for weeks 3 and 4.
So I’ve completed the first two weeks and done another exhaustion test. Here’s what my progress looks like so far:
Week 1:
Day 1: 9, 9, 6, 6, 13 [total 43]
Day 2: 9, 12, 9, 9, 19 [total 58]
Day 3: 12, 15, 11, 11, 20 [total 69]Week 2:
Day 1: 14, 17, 12, 12, 20 [total 75]
Day 2: 15, 18, 14, 14, 25 [total 86]
Day 3: 18, 20, 15, 15, 25 [total 93]Exhaustion Test: 61
Although when doing the exhaustion test I started to do full sit-ups rather than crunches half-way through, and had to catch myself. Full sit-ups have always been MUCH easier for me than crunches for some reason – even though they are worse on your back.
I am proud of myself and feel great! Looks like I’ll be on the hardest track the next few weeks….
